>>>>>>>       It’s Midterm Week…

                            Try to Survive!!            <<<<<<<

"Surviving TNS" is a 2D platformer game for two players setting the New School as the background where students are frantically racing against time to meet their mid-term deadlines.

Players will move in the D12 building, leaping across platforms, and collecting coins as they go. To stay alive, they must make their way to Joe Coffee on the ground floor to purchase coffee, just like real students do. Meanwhile, random assignments appear within the building, and players must shoot their brains to defeat these assignments to avoid accelerating the depletion of their life. The last player standing wins the game.

The game offers three distinct difficulty levels, each impacting the frequency of coin and assignment spawns. So,  try your best to survive through mid-term week in TNS!

This game is absolutely adorable! I love that I can freely choose the difficulty level of the levels, which really shows a lot of thoughtfulness. The music selected for the game is also something I really, really like—it fits the game's art style perfectly. I have a small suggestion: there seems to be a glitch where a piece of paper gets stuck in hard mode. If this bug could be fixed, it would be perfect!

Ok first I love the aesthetic and the art style of this game, the UI, etc. It's super clean. The concept is super concise and I think you guys did a really good job at managing the scope of this game for the time that we were given. It allowed you to make a really polished/refined, fun game with a really nice art style.

I'm not sure how the spawning of the paper was set up, but after playing the game a few times, I noticed that the paper would sometimes spawn right next to where you start the game causing an instant loss without being able to touch the controls. I would also remove the button outline on the first art background layer as it shows both of them in the game (behind the button UI) and can make it look messy.

Great game though!

I love the graphics and I love how I found the game very relatable! I would only make the paper harder to catch so that the game wouldn't end as fast.

I thought this game was super fun and I think the concept behind it is funny. The scope of what it's trying to do is simple so I don't think there's much to improve upon that's already here, but maybe make the transition into the win card a little more gradual? Right now it pops up on the screen very quickly. I also think more levels would be fun!

The detailing of this game makes it so cute and fun. I love the music and the art style you chose. The choice of difficulty levels is a nice touch too. I did find that I kept reaching a win state very quickly so I am wondering if there is a bug there, as it would happen when I came into contact with the papers. Overall great game concept!

I really like the overall vibe of the game, I think your characters are super cute and fun to control. The concept and sound design are also well balanced.

I found it a bit confusing what was triggering a win, sometimes I would run into an enemy and win. I also feel like I didn't need to use both characters to play the game so maybe some more teamwork obstacles?

Very cute game! Simple and fun game play. Love how you built a game for midterm about defeating midterm. A little bug: if both character never recover from the coffee, the little witch character win while it should be a draw. It might be nice if the brain bullets are slightly different for different characters.

Love the overarching pixel look to the whole entire game! Also the topic is super relatable since mid-terms are always a stressful time.

I think that having different level layouts would have really helped in establishing harder difficulties even if the game is pvp. Even though there was the element of your health constantly decreasing, instead of changing the rate in which your health drops having more difficult levels would have provided a more fruitful difficulty curve. You already have the assets and the art style so it would just be a matter of designing the layout and building it out. The design choices that were made though are understandable since both players are competing against each other.

Cute game overall, and relatable to boot!
